Anger

I have always believed that anger is an important emotion.  It gives rise to energy useful for change.  In most cases it is about a perceived unfairness that has been done to us or done to someone else. Making the unfair fair is sometimes worth the effort and sometimes there is nothing you can do, but that does not mean that feeling your anger is not important!

I am not an eloquent writer but I remembered something that a wise psychologist wrote;

"He could keep his sharply honed, well tamed anger in his pocket most of the time, but he must remember to take it out when he needs it. To allow another person to do him in is to be an accomplice to the other;s destructiveness in the name of one;s own prideful, pietistic "goodness'." --Sheldon B. Kopp, Ph.D.

Resolving internal conflicts with hypnosis is easy.

Reaching our goals is not always easy. Sometimes there are restraining forces that our outside of ourselves and interestingly many of those are more easily overcome then the ones "inside" ourselves.

Often the parts of ourselves that hold us back are not solved by conscious reasoning and that is where hypnosis can be very helpful. Utilizing a very gentle process of hypnosis one can resolve these conflicts fairly easily.

Very often these "parts" are at odds with themselves and one part is strong than the other and as a result controls our behavior. Each part often has needs that need to be understood and met. Then and only then can create a "win-win" resolution of your internal conflicts.

Stop struggling, feel free to contact me to discuss your situation!

So called experts....

My father used to say, "opinions are like ass#$%^%, everybody has one!" My addition to that is that most are not even worth listening to.

"I was living in one room with $5 in my pocket, look at me now, making 7 figures etc etc etc....and now I will tell you how I did it for only_____(insert price here.)

"I was sitting on the floor and a cockroach crawled across my leg and I realized that my thoughts were causing my suffering"

" I survived a divorce now I teach others how they can do it to"

These are the stories of infomercials...which are designed to push our buttons of fear and greed.
Enough already!

Question experts....There is an old Buddhist idea, if you meet Buddha on the road kill him.

The reason is that we all have strong dependency need and we often act them out.
into your own life, but at the end of the day, our lives will not be as As all these others who tell their stories, they basically woke up themselves.  Theirs is now only a subjective narrative of their own experience and perhaps some of their ideas are worth incorporatingglamorous, rich, exciting (which is only our perception) as theirs..or at least their PR and marketing companies would have us believe.
That's right, you can have something really crappy to sell and if you have the right P.R. and marketing...you can sell anything.

People come to my office wanted me to change and transform them, but the work that transpires between me and my clients is collaborative.  I provide the context, guidance, my skills and abilities, but they have to do the work.

At the end of the day, we all have to untie our own knots. We may be able from time to time need some help, guidance and support but no one can do it for us.  Now get to work!

Many blessings,

Hypno-coaching?

Hypnosis..not just a short term approach with long term lasting impact.

Many think of hypnosis as a quick and easy fix...and while for many life issues, this is true and often takes less time than other forms of work, it can also be used in a longer term approaches.

In this post we will look at what coaching is, what areas people come to coaching for, why it is important and how it can be helpful to you in your life and your work

Coaching  helps you determine and achieve personal and professional goals by collaborating, challenging, encouraging and edifying you!  It is a relationship that can help you clarify your values and your vision in your life and help you stay on track.

Integrating hypnosis into this relationship can often help clients achieve breakthroughs, deeper understandings, break apart out dated beliefs that often undermine and sabotage your dreams.

Unlike psychotherapy, hypno-coaching does not diagnose or treat mental illness

So why might you want longer term help and support.  Very simply, life is complex...for some not just complex but also complicated.  Sometimes is is difficult to figure out what you want, what would be the best way to get there, and if you can figure out what you want and what needs to be done..it is often not so easy to implement.....  Working with a hypno-coach can help you with all of those in an effective and results oriented manner.

Dating and relationship issues
Work and career issues
Life transitions

Hypno-coaching is provided by phone and through skype.  I usually meet with my clients 2 x per month, offer them email support and emergency contacts where necessary.

If you would like more information about hypno-coaching, call me at 866-773-7399 and schedule a free 30 minute phone consultation.

Thinking about opening up a Biz?

While the financial crisis has caused a great deal of job loss, many see this time as an opportunity to open there own businesses....

While on first glance this may seem like a fantastic idea, it is not as easy as one might think.  As a veteran biz owner and coach to many other biz owners, let me share with you a few things that might make your transition easier.

1. You have more than one role to play when you own a business.  Michel Gerber, author of the E-Myth (entrepreneurial- myth) revisited talks about those roles quite extensively.  They are:
a. Biz owner
b. Biz manager
c. Biz employee

For most, the role of biz employee is the easiest.  It is about delivering a service, goods or a product that one is familiar with.  The challenge comes in the other roles and what their respective goals are.

2. You can't do everything yourself.  Another coach, by the name of Dan Sullivan, suggests that you should do what your are genius at and delegate everything else.

3. What ever you do, it is going to cost you money, time and energy. Working on a shoe string budget is fine, it may even help you be more creative.  But don't skimp on the important stuff, like professional marketing materials.

4. There will be a lot of no's....and declines....keep moving foreword!

5. Get support from family and friends.

6. Focus most of your efforts on the low hanging fruit.

7. Focus on the needs of your clients/customers.

8. Watch the money!!!  Don't put your head in the sand.  Pay attention to what is coming in and what is going out!

Well this is a start.  Having your own business can be very rewarding and it is also a lot of work.

Many blessings to your success!
