While the financial crisis has caused a great deal of job loss, many see this time as an opportunity to open there own businesses....
While on first glance this may seem like a fantastic idea, it is not as easy as one might think. As a veteran biz owner and coach to many other biz owners, let me share with you a few things that might make your transition easier.
1. You have more than one role to play when you own a business. Michel Gerber, author of the E-Myth (entrepreneurial- myth) revisited talks about those roles quite extensively. They are:
a. Biz owner
b. Biz manager
c. Biz employee
For most, the role of biz employee is the easiest. It is about delivering a service, goods or a product that one is familiar with. The challenge comes in the other roles and what their respective goals are.
2. You can't do everything yourself. Another coach, by the name of Dan Sullivan, suggests that you should do what your are genius at and delegate everything else.
3. What ever you do, it is going to cost you money, time and energy. Working on a shoe string budget is fine, it may even help you be more creative. But don't skimp on the important stuff, like professional marketing materials.
4. There will be a lot of no's....and declines....keep moving foreword!
5. Get support from family and friends.
6. Focus most of your efforts on the low hanging fruit.
7. Focus on the needs of your clients/customers.
8. Watch the money!!! Don't put your head in the sand. Pay attention to what is coming in and what is going out!
Well this is a start. Having your own business can be very rewarding and it is also a lot of work.
Many blessings to your success!
Dr. Eric

To my mind it is a great article.

(FROM THE FORTHCOMING BOOK "BRAIN ENERGY CURES")
Forward
Recently, new research programs have originated in leading universities like Princeton, Harward, MIT, etc (USA) Oxford, Cambridge, etc ( UK) and many other leading universities and Institutions throughout the world. These research programs are called: Brain/Body/Medicine; you can see absorbing videos clips and interestingly read thousands of pages on the website: www.Brain/Body/Medicine.com. These programs are researching on the powerful effects of the Brain which plays an important role on the body curing several diseases.
Since humankind appeared on the surface of the earth millions of years ago, primitive humans have searched for medicines to cure themselves and remove pain. They found herbs and leaves and roots which helped them, which they recorded in their minds, knowing for the future which herbs were suitable for which diseases; that gave birth to the origin of medicine.
What we call medicine today is very, very recent. Just around a hundred years ago modern medicine came into existence. There were no pharmaceutical factories, no medical doctors, no injections, no MRI scanners or anything else. What we vaguely call Alchemists existed thousands of years ago, in Egypt.
Sulphur and magnesium were some of the earliest elements used as a medicine. Experiments were carried out by so-called alchemists in trying out the effects of these elements on people with sicknesses, at the cost of some lives. The results were recorded over a period of time and the science of medicine was born.
Not only the earth’s elements were used, but numerous herbs and plants. Today there are over 1,400 herbs used in modern medical preparations, some of which produce the desired results.
Sulphur was followed by calcium and magnesium and so on. Now there is a wide spectrum of elements, including radio active elements which have crept into the medicinal arena. Now, more belief and credibility have stealthily moved into the treatments of several diseases using the wonders of the brain. It is beyond question and deliberation that there is any doubt as to the capabilities of the brain. Build up faith in the medicinal discharge of the brain and you shall be able to live a healthy and happy life.

(FROM THE FORTHCOMING BOOK"BRAIN ENERGY CURES")
Epilogue
This book has been written rather succinctly, space forbidding enlargement. However, the most vital chapter on “How to cure yourself using your Brain Energy” has been protracted and written in greater detail. If the various subjects discussed like the Fear of Death were to be detailed out more extensively they would occupy hundreds of pages. If you want to learn more, there are several books and papers available, which you can consult.
Analyse yourself and find out the causes for an unhealthy condition. Don’t run to a doctor for every mild ailment; they have no time to listen to you and quickly write out a prescription which you probably don’t need.
Find out the cure for yourself. Often it is to do with your eating habits and what you eat. Food is also a natural medicine, not only a source of energy for your physical actions. In Asian countries they take several spices which unwittingly cure some of their ailments. Physical work, walking and exercise burns up your energy which produces hunger and apetite.
The various theories expounded have been concluded from personal experience and experiments imposed upon myself. I had learnt a lot about pain and how to eradicate it from my mind. I thought it normal and commonplace that one does not suffer pain from a ruptured bone, and learnt the contrary from doctors. I had three heart seizures within two years. I was taken to the hospital for two of them: there was no time to call an ambulance for the third. I used my brain energy and cured the third seizure in a matter of a few minutes. Since then I feel that I have grown immune to heart attacks. In my entire life I never had any physical pain, except when I was bitten by a scorpion at the age of twelve.
Experiments carried out on myself give me surety and confidence in propounding these theories as absolute tenets of truth, devoid of all other misconceptions and doubts. For example, the removal of pain and fear has been exercised by me on many occasions as related in the preceeding anecdotes; and also the tale with the shock cure. These have been conclusive proofs. I would recommend the readers to read the chapter “How to cure yourself using your brain” a few times over to understand the gist of the subject. Also, if you do not succeed on your first attempt, try again and over again. It is most easily practised in company with a friend or partner in life. The brain is the most important thing in the world; it can not only control your body, but also objects as is demonstrated by the movement of the metal sphere demonstrated in the museum of Stockholm, Sweden. I fervently hope the message in this book has been transmitted clearly using words; words are only the tools of communication. Sometimes we don’t find the right tools and our communication goes haywire.
